Star Trek: Deep Space Nine is a science fiction series that aired in 1993 about the space station, Deep Space Nine. Unlike the original Star Trek series, Deep Space Nine is centered on a space station lead by Captain Benjamin Sisko (Avery Brooks). Located near the Bajoran wormhole, the space station is easily accessible to trade and space exploration for the 300 occupants. The wormhole also is a gateway to some not so friendly visitors.
